Your personal support network in Cambodia

Who would help you if something happened tomorrow?

You may live in Cambodia with your family thousands of kilometres away. CamboSafe is a membership that keeps someone prepared, informed and reachable on your behalf, before, during and after an emergency.

The problem

Specialists exist. Coordination between them often doesn't.

During an illness, accident, hospital stay or death, the hardest part is often knowing who to call first, what information they need, and how to keep family, hospitals and officials talking to each other at the same time.

You may live alone in Cambodia. You do not have to face an emergency alone.

CamboSafe does not promise that every problem can be solved. It promises that your situation will be taken seriously, handled according to procedure, communicated clearly and coordinated with the right people.

What CamboSafe is

An independent coordination service that works alongside licensed providers.

CamboSafe is

  • A membership-based assistance and coordination service
  • A trusted local contact for welfare checks and emergencies
  • A link between members, hospitals, family, consulates and vetted local providers
  • Independent, so you are never required to use a particular clinic

CamboSafe is not

  • An insurance company or a payer of medical bills
  • A hospital, clinic or ambulance operator
  • An embassy, consulate or police service
  • A law firm, funeral home, bank or trustee

Membership is a coordination and assistance service, not insurance. CamboSafe does not guarantee medical outcomes, hospital admission, embassy action, legal outcomes or the availability of third parties. Members remain responsible for third-party medical, transport, legal, funeral and repatriation costs unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Partners

Hospitals, clinics and employers who work with CamboSafe.

CamboSafe sets out how it works with each partner in an agreement. Members are never required to use a particular facility.

Hospitals and clinics

Partner facilities give CamboSafe a clear point of contact, so family communication, translation and discharge follow-up can be coordinated for enrolled members.

  • A named primary contact and a backup, including after hours
  • An agreed process for family communication and translation
  • Discharge and follow-up coordination

Medical care and treatment decisions stay with the facility. Partnership does not mean preferential treatment unless a facility agrees to it in writing.

Companies with foreign staff

Employers can enrol their foreign employees under one written corporate agreement.

Up to 10% off the standard US$25 monthly fee, as low as US$22.50 per employee
  • Pricing is based on the number of members enrolled
  • The exact rate is set in the written corporate agreement
  • Each employee completes their own registration and consent

To discuss a partnership, email info@cambosafe.com.

How it works

A welfare check and escalation procedure, followed every time.

Scheduled welfare check

A reminder is sent on schedule and you confirm you are okay.

Follow-up if there is no reply

If the check-in is not confirmed, we follow up by phone or message.

Your authorized emergency contact

If there is still no response, we contact the person you named, within the permissions you set.

Record and follow-up

Each case gets a case number and a written record, and we follow up until our coordination role is complete.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Is CamboSafe insurance?

No. CamboSafe is a coordination and assistance membership. It does not reimburse medical bills and does not replace health, travel or life insurance. Members remain responsible for third-party medical, transport, legal, funeral and repatriation costs unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Does CamboSafe provide medical care?

No. CamboSafe coordinates communication with hospitals and clinics. Medical care stays with the licensed provider treating the member. In a medical emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service first.

What happens during a welfare check?

A check-in is sent twice a month. If you do not confirm that you are okay, CamboSafe follows a documented sequence: a reminder, a phone attempt, then your authorized emergency contact, and local emergency services if there is credible immediate danger.

Can CamboSafe guarantee it will detect every emergency?

No. Welfare checks reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every emergency is detected or resolved. CamboSafe commits to take your situation seriously, follow procedure, communicate clearly and coordinate with the right people. It does not promise a specific outcome.

What information do I provide as a member?

Only what the service needs and what you agree to share: contact and residence details and an emergency contact. Optional items include a preferred hospital or clinic, insurance details and funeral or repatriation wishes. Medical information is collected only where necessary and with your consent, and staff access is limited by role.

What is not covered by the US$25 monthly fee?

Physical hospital escorts and home visits carry an additional fee. Transport, and medical, legal, funeral and repatriation costs, are normally separate third-party charges. The fee pays for coordination and a trusted relationship, not for third-party services.

Is CamboSafe connected to a hospital, embassy or government body?

No. CamboSafe is an independent private service. It builds professional relationships with hospitals, clinics, embassies and consulates, but it does not claim government endorsement and does not promise preferential treatment from any partner unless a written agreement says so.

Which hospitals and clinics are CamboSafe partners?

Current partner facilities are CamboCare Medical Center, LifeCare PolyClinic and Neak Tep Hospital, and the network is still growing. Members are never required to use a partner facility, and partnership does not mean preferential treatment unless a facility agrees to it in writing.

Do members get discounts at partner facilities?

Yes. Members receive up to 10% off at CamboCare Medical Center, LifeCare PolyClinic and Neak Tep Hospital. The exact discount and the services it covers are set in each facility's agreement, and it applies to that facility's own fees.

Do companies get a discount?

Yes. Companies that enrol employees under a written corporate agreement receive up to 10% off the standard US$25 monthly fee, depending on the number of members enrolled. The exact rate is set in the agreement.

Is CamboSafe open for membership yet?

Not yet. CamboSafe is in a pre-launch stage, completing legal, regulatory and governance review with Cambodian professionals before a controlled pilot with a small group of founding members.

Important notice. CamboSafe is presented here as a pre-launch proposal. It is not a licensed insurer, and membership is not an insurance policy or a medical, legal or financial guarantee. Before public launch, CamboSafe's structure, contracts, privacy practices and regulated-service boundaries will be reviewed by qualified Cambodian legal, accounting and regulatory professionals.
Founding pilot

CamboSafe is recruiting a small group of founding members.

The pilot is designed to prove the service carefully, not to grow fast. Founding members help shape the welfare-check schedule, emergency procedures and membership terms before public launch.

Registration opens once legal review is complete.
